Chrome rims and car paint in winter? This one's a two-parter:
I live in eastern Pennsylvania, so we obviously get snow, but usually never as bad as New England, Wisconsin, etc, so... Is it safe to keep the chrome rims on my car during the winter? If so, is there a certain product I should put on the wheels to protect them? Also, how often should the wheels be cleaned, and should I just use soap and water or is there a really good wheel cleaner out there that can be used often?
Also, I found out that my car (which I bought used) has a really expensive aftermarket paint job (its a beautiful shade of white- looks great with the tinted windows!) but now I'm wondering if there's anything I can use to coat the paint to protect it. I love the brightness of the white and I'm afraid that it'll fade or the salt will eat away at it...
Is there a site that will show what certain parts would look like on my car? Like rims, tints, chrome detail?? I have a 2003 cavalier that i am looking to "pimp" lol i have tints on it already and want to get rims and whatever else i see that I think would look cute but I would like to see it first on my car! I seen sites like this for rims only and i don't know where to find out this kinda info - it would be great if it showed inside of car and out!
p.s. besides rims, tints. and a stereo what else can i do to make my car look nice on the outside thats not outrageously expensive?!
